As part of its activities at ITU World 2009, ITU appointed Decisive Media to deliver an event based knowledge platform and extend the reach of the forum based content to a global audience via the internet. A live video and audio feed from pre-defined ITU forum sessions was taken and delivered into an internet ready feed. The feed was displayed into an online application (The Knowledge Platform) that allowed viewers to view the live video, ask questions and switch between other live feeds all webcast simultaneously.

After each event the presentations could be watched on-demand. In total the knowledge platform served in excess of 40,000 videos. Decisive Media produced the entire Knowledge Platform as well as providing the necessary production services to encode the live video feed into an internet ready format.

Decisive Medias sister company TelecomTV also worked in partnership to assist the ITU to generate sponsorship revenue from exhibitors and non- exhibitors to help offset the investment in this webcasting project.
